Radical Integrated Honesty can be defined, most simply, as a state in which what you think, what you believe, and what you say and do based on those thoughts and beliefs are in complete alignment. In other words, you are a person who lives and practices the Truth. There are no deviations or inconsistencies along this path. Others know that you mean what you say and you say what you mean. You do not compromise your truth. You live with integrity, which is a synonym for wholeness. You are whole, un-fractured, and undistorted. You are in harmony with yourself. You once again allow the limitless and powerful universal energies to flow through you, unimpeded by distortions of the truth. You are healed, energized, and uplifted.
Radical Integrated Honesty is also an act of supreme courage. You do not think or believe one thing and tell people another in order to obtain some undisclosed personal objective, to avoid an uncomfortable reaction, or to escape an undesired outcome. You do not lie, mislead, manipulate, or sugar-coat the truth. To be sure, you modulate your tone and style skillfully depending on the circumstance, so as to limit hurt feelings—but there are no “grey areas” where the truth is optional. And you do not speak or act from a place of ego gratification, but rather from one of service to others, out of a deep care for their highest good.
Now imagine displaying Radical Integrated Honesty every day, all the time, in your life. Imagine all 8.3 billion of our fellow earth travelers doing the same. What would that look and feel like? How would things in society change—personal relationships, families, businesses, media, entertainment, government? I think it’s fair to say that each one of us deserves to live in a world of 8.3 billion honest, sincere truth-tellers. Will we ever get there? Well, as the saying goes, the first step is to change yourself, and then let the world around you follow.
